As for Source Tags and Codes being a 2000s Daydream Nation...that record seems kinda dated to me now, although I can see where you're coming from. Also, in the eyes of many And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead have gone downhill since then (I haven't really felt the desire to check out any of their post ST&C work so I have no opinion)...

It sucks. So does their pre-ST&C work if you ask me. I'm not a fan at all, but I think that album is great. It's definitely got a Daydream vibe, but it's nowhere near as good.

Trail of Dead are still a decent live act, but they're kind of a shit band. Kinda like an "indie" Smashing Pumpkins. Sooo pretentious.
