so my little sister is adopted, her sister was adopted by someone else and i guess we are having issues with them.
a year ago her and my sister looked up porn, apparently now her mom is making it into this tramatizing event saying she doesnt want her kids at our house alone or to even be able to talk to my sister (her blood!) without someone else in the room. they even took her to fucking theorpy!
even worse, heaven forbit her little daughter wants to look at porn on her own she has to go accusing me. she told my mom "well you son is 16 so my daughter got it from him and he is a bad influence" and now she wants to check the logs on our computer! which cant happen because its been formatted multiple times since then.
my mom suggested i write a letter, since my mother is going to see them soon. i just finished here it is
It seems there are some issues that seem to have resulted in previous events that have become a grave concern to you.
First of all I would like to clear up the events of last summer. I was in no way involved, to my understanding the two girls
where playing a game on the internet and some inappropriate popup sparked their interest. At later points in your daugters stay
they were repeatedly drawn back to the computer because of their growing intrigue and curiosity, at the time is was not this tramatic
experience that I understand Abigail is going through now, or atleast not as tramatic as its been made out to be.
Its quite simple for some curious girls to Google some term and gets millions of results.
Next I would like to address my grave distress for the handling of this situation, its only a big deal if its made into a big deal.
This inccident should present the perfect oppurtunity to sit down with the children and talk to them about what they have done
and make it into a learning experience and then be done with it. Unfortunatly here we are 1 year later, feeling unsafe at the Gilmans,
sessions of theropy and so forth. The fact of the matter is, the girls are growing up. No matter how sheltered you would like them to be, this is
the real world, you cannot protect your children from everything, instead there should be a focus on teaching them how to protect themselves because
its much more important that they know how to make healthy desicians for themselves.
Another issue that I feel needs to be addressed is the properties of a popup window, there are many different kinds. Spyware is one of the most
common tatics, little programs are automatically downloaded to your computer typically without your consent or sometimes bundled with other more useful
programs, these then generate popups. You dont even have to be surfing the web for them to occur, although typically you do have to be connected to the internet.
These programs are usually created by a specific advertising firm, certain compainies pay them for their add to be popped up and then it gets popped up.
Sometimes the spyware may even be generated by a specific company with intents of only advertising its own intents/services. Sometimes there are indeed smart
ones that will if you are indeed in a web browser search the page for keywords and generate revelant popups. I've seen unprotected computers with hundreds
and even thousands of different pieces of spyware, with new ones daily. On a protected machine the number is signifigantly less but still a threat.
I'm not trying to tell you how to run your household, my mother just told me to write so i wrote.
I cant stress enough, it happened... learn from it and move on. There is no need to try and find other people to blame, esspecially concerning a natural
curiousity that obviously was taken into ones own hands beacuse of the lack of explanation in a sheltered enviroment.
I'm quite taken aback that you would think of me in the way you have expressed, being a 16 year old chronic masterbauter who teaches young children obsenities,
but sorry anyway, or for coming across that way.
now im contempleting not giving it to her, cause it will offend her more and blah blah blah. i dont know, i probaly will i guess.
