Had kind of an embarrassing moment yesterday. Due to my own ignorance.

Apparently everyone in the world but me knows who Brian Peppers is. So here's the thing. I like to decorate my work space in band art--posters, those old CD cardboard covers, etc. I've been collecting local band posters and putting some of those up, too. There's a band in town who included a screenprint rendition of Peppers on their poster with the tagline, "I'm a Peppers." I unthinkingly tacked it up in my office, never thinking to check what this is actually all about, just thinking it was really weird and ugly and a perfect addition to my collection.

My boss comes in at the end of the day and doesn't tell me to take it down, just says that you know, that's a really disturbing poster, and advises that I google Brian Peppers.

Good Lord. Now I feel like an idiot. I've taken it down and replaced it with my Sleater-Kinney LP poster.
