They claim to be making 'courtesy calls', rather than sales calls.
I had a guy from Southern Electric who was making all sorts of promises. I
told him, 'I'll sign the forms, but I'm going to check out your claims this afternoon, and if they're false then I'll cancel the contract tonight'. He assured me - he
gave me his word - so I signed. I checked his claims.
He claimed I'd save an Absolute minimum of £150 per year. In fact, it would have been closer to £1:70 for the first year.
He claimed that the prices were frozen until November 2006. A lie.
Southern were nothing to do with Scottish and Southern, whom I knew to be a bad lot. A lie.
Another company making my life easier by guaranteeing that I'll never consider deal with them. The list grows once more.
In contrast to Southern and the dreaded British Gas, NPower seem like pretty decent sorts so far...
