yeah, i had a period where i devoured all of pkd books. since alot of them are so similar i sometimes can remember specific things about specific stores anymore. i think sy were more overt with their gibson influences. like "the sprawl" and all the other things already mentioned.

although not sonic youth related, built to spill made a song called "nowhere nothing fuckup" which takes the chorus from a pkd song in a book, weirdly taking the verses from vu's "oh sweet nuthin"
