Truly, I posted this thread on here like a week ago when I was two days into being in this contest. At the time I was sort of on this competitive high- although I felt embarrassed about really wanting to win the contest and tried to justify in my mind that it was because I didn't want the people in the contest who could afford a larger big city schools and only seem interested in ultra current mainstream pop music to win. I still would love to see someone who I think is cool win this contest. I voted for this one dude who lives in Chicago because he talked about music a lot and said his music icons were K records artists. My main reason for putting this on here was to because I love Sonic youth and refer to Kim as my music icon. Thus I thought it'd be awesome if other Sonic Youth fans entered the contest or if they didn't want to could just vote for me instead. I'm really new to this whole forum thing so I haven't learned to make sure what I say on here is something I'll support a week later- or to have a thick skin about what other people post.
The contest is to be a host/interviewer on a show that Noisey/vice will be doing this year where they go to music festivals and talk about music and style.
