most of tv is a trench in our cultural landscape, i agree, but there are some good, thought-provoking shows. battlestar galactica didn't have the strongest second season (it was divided into 2.0 and 2.5, most of 2.5 blew) but there's always topics they bring up that i sit and think about afterwards. lost could be a friggin' college class with all the analyzing you have to do to remember what the hell happened the last time they actually showed an episode. for sheer entertainment, the office is brilliant comedy and is THE best comedic show ("sitcom" is a horrible word) to come along in basically forever.

there's no excuse for vh1 or mtv, though. it's just horrible.

screamingskull- the commune thing is a neat idea. i'm too in love with big cities to ever do it, however.
