yes, I always think of hipsters are not being locked into one style per se, so much as being part of a constantly revolving series of very cliched "looks" from different eras and times, most often horribly mismatched. Essentially, hipster is the revisting of that terrible time in the early 1990s when cross-colors and surrealist cuts/styles were in vogue. Today hipsters look like transplanted anachronistic mannequins
