You can't blame what happened in Detroit entirely on corrupt politicians, black or white, its a result of a structural shift in the American economy. Where does potential racism have its play? Again, other major metropolitan centers have faced similar economic downfalls and near-bankruptcies in the past, but have been bailed out by a combination of private and public investment, restructuring, and even Federal legal involvement. However, what stands as one of the largest remaining black cities in the country? Left to the wolves. What will happen to a predominantly black public sector labor force who have one way or the other dedicated their entire future and livelihood to serving the communities in Detroit? They will end up having to declare bankruptcy too as their pensions, retirement packages, benefits, and in the end, employment, is thrown on the chopping black err block. Again, some liberal experiment
