Honestly, I don't wanna sound like a contrarian here but I loved it. Until Uruguay scored I thought Italy were playing a perfect defensive game. Not spectacular but still brilliant. But to play like that without the cushion of a goal was a massive risk that in the end backfired.
Until then (more in response to Suchfriends) it wasn't about what Uruguay was or wasn't doing, but about the way for 80 minutes Italy totally controlled the game.
And then Suarez tried to eat Chiellini and provided more entertainment value than any goal I think I've ever seen. Although if FIFA prove he did bite him, that must mean a ban for the rest of the tournament ... and about a thousand new memes to replace the Ivanovich ones.
But yeah, honestly it was a game I could've watched for hours ... cannibalism or no cannibalism
