I actually decided to re-watch the Brazil-Germany game from the last world cup last might whilst hammered with a friend of mine. At first it seems like Brazil would be ok and keep it together. Then goals start, and even on re-watch it's still crazy to see the score of 5-0 before half-time. A game to always remember.

The best bit is the kid crying his tears into a cup. Ooh I've found it.

Yes... yesss, let your tears flow.

I rewatched that too, a little while back, and yeah, the start didn't indicate at all what was to come. It's the same with Spain's implosion against Holland. If anything Spain looked to have a slight edge on Holland at the beginning, and then they just collapsed. Maybe we read too much into those results. We've all seen excellent teams lose games that on paper they shouldn't have. We saw it in the Prem when Chelsea lost to teams they should've been thrashing. Difference in a WC is you're gonna have a bad day against some world class players so the penalty is far worse than it would be against, say, Leicester.

Admittedly, in Spain's case, it wasn't just a one off game. They were awful throughout.
