Sure, yeah, but I'm saying "All Night" is the climax. "All Night" is
the song. I have heard it so many times in the last few days, but I'm still stunned by it every time. The call and response bit, where she echoes herself... the horns... the vocals that glitch out ever so subtly in one of the refrains (between the words "all" and "night".. It's very mild, but it almost sounds like someone's dialing the record back for a microsecond in between syllables), and did I mention the Fucking HORNS? What the fuck? How is such a classy soul song with such a traditional vibe so goddamn enchanting in 2016?
I think it might be my favorite song of the year. But because its emotionally exhausting, it probably won't stay my favorite for long. I'll head back to something more fun, like "Fade" .. But at this point in time, "All Night" is it. I'm fuckin' calling it.
I really want to watch the videos, but for some reason I haven't done so.
