I think that "Barter 6" title, although disguised as a tribute to his hero, was actually some sort of a backhanded compliment. The way I see it, it meant that Wayne's time has come and Thug is here to replace him. The fact it featured Birdman sending empty threats on his verse speaks volumes too.
