Yes, there's a cultural connection, and both albums are products of a similar era, but do you really think Lemonade's concept has anything to do with TPAB's? Moreover, do you really think Beyoncé needs to ride anyone's coattails?

You should look back to when this album first dropped, and how geeked we were about it, the both of us. I haven't listened to it in a while, but "All Night" is still one of my favorite songs of the year, and I think the album as a whole is extremely good... though I could still do without Jack White Zepping out on the thing. His contributions to the Tribe album were much more palatable.
I'm not talking about the actual music and content of the album. I'm talking about the way it was marketed, as an album that supports the whole Black Lives Matter movement. That wouldn't've happened without Black Messiah and TPAB paving the way..

Bey's team have spent the last few years trying to improve her image as an artist so she can be taken more seriously. And it works for them.
