One might say Roth had a point with the whole social media activism, but he didn't explore that enough to drive any point of view on it. That's my mediocre movie marathon.

I agree, although I did find myself enjoying it. You're right though: nothing new and not enough done with the social activism stuff, which I saw it mostly as a satire of.
