TRUE STORY:
A woman in a town relatively close to where my mother lives attended a peace vigil for the people in Charlottesville the other day. Candles and sitting and silence in the dark. That's it. Prayers for the dead and the suffering, etc.
This woman's home was broken into when she was gone, and FUCKING SWASTIKAS were spray painted on her door and walls.
Seriously. This happened. Saw the photos. Swastikas. In a little rural community whose main attraction is its health food store and vintage theater.
