Seriously. This happened. Saw the photos. Swastikas. In a little rural community whose main attraction is its health food store and vintage theater.

Look, as vomitous as this is, we knew it was coming. We've been saying it on this very thread for eighteen fucking months now. Trump rally after Trump rally: Confederate flags in the crowd — and currently I'm not in the mood of making irrelevant distinctions between neoconfederates, neonazis and neoklansmen. Neofuck them all.
I'm not completely jaded; the mass of putrid orange gelatine and his revolving lineup of "aides" can still shock me on a weekly basis. But what would REALLY shock me is this turd acting like a marginally decent human being for a minute. There's a saying that goes, "Every country has the president it deserves"; I certainly don't believe it applies everywhere, especially given that in 1973 Henry Kissinger replaced the president of my country with a genocidal dictator. But even taking into account Hillary Clinton's massive popular vote lead and Russia's intervention, I do think "America" brought this onto itself. The colossal willful ignorance + the ridiculously obsolete electoral structure + the pathetic weakness of those who knew better = what
