on this morning’s hike listened to old babes in toyland’s NEMESISTERS which i found downloaded on my phone (when did i do that? was i drinking?)

 


i thought i’d find it dated but not really. please note i don’t understand most of the lyrics just by listening. so i focus on the music only.

sure some shit that was popular 25 years ago like hello and drivin’ and sweet ‘69 do elicit flashbacks—but you look past the nostalgia and there’s some good shit there. i’m relistening to middle man right now thinking it sounds great today without any references to anything.

just read that they’re touring again. hmmmm....anybody here been to their shows in this century?
