It's probably the single most talented part of his NIN career that he's able to convert the sounds he's working with, which everyone would agree are hard to listen to, into utterly listenable tunes. I love the hell out of 'The Great Destroyer' especially.

I remember Trent leaking songs from Year Zero by leaving flash drives in the bathroom stalls of venues he'd play. It was pretty damn clever. A shame that the mini-series based off of the album's concept never took form.
