Even in Lake Charles, school is out for Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday, but I heard this isn’t the case in Shreveport.

WOW - a week in New Orleans, I’ve never done that.
We love the crescent city and plan to return in April.
Port Of Call is a favorite restaurant of ours. All they do is steaks, burgers and baked potatoes. They also have one of the best drinks in New Orleans: Neptune’s Monsoon
Located in a old house in the Esplanade, it’s away from the hustle of The Quarter.
