there's a cable show here sponsored by a pop radio station called in-d, and they cover the "indie scene" from mexico and abroad and the only really independent bands they play are on matador and merge (both of which are almost majors). they play crap like she wants revenge and talk about the "legacy of pioneering bands like the strokes and the white stripes" while stressing fashion and 80's retro tid bits and the bands they showcase.
schizo's first post reminded me of this show.
pretty much all subcultures suck and they grand majority of their populance are flocks of dimwit sheep without any brains.
