I definitely find it sad when people are closed off to stuff outside their comfort zone, especially when it's a direct influence. Like Nirvana fans who listen to one Sonic Youth song and decide they hate them. That does bug me quite a bit. The fun of music is following the endless trail of connections and influence. They're missing out on so much.
