Right, a past that was A-OK as long as you weren't black (needless to say, that keeps going), Native American, gay, FEMALE, etc. A bullshit
version of that past, all nifty and dandy, was Reagan's ticket to political stardom - I don't know whether he was the first to come up with the line "government isn't the solution; it's the problem", but fucking hell did that stupidity get into the marrow of millions of Unitedstateseans, generations of them now.
