Seriously though, I think we "Low lovers" (Lowers?) can be just more vociferous, not necessarily more numerous. Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine and Dinosaur Jr. are probably more popular than Low in this joint. Heck, even Sunn O))) are (or were, at one point) stronger candidates for #2.
