This one ripples through my personal world in ways I see and feel in a much more real way than most music passings. I share a studio with a former Low member, have many friends who knew and loved her and Al, and have had many occasions when our paths crossed personally from the very beginning. Mimi and Al never treated anyone in the extended music world as anything less than peers or colleagues, no matter what level of success or visibility anyone had. I loved seeing them succeed on their own terms with such grace and singular style. She will be missed.
