The cucumbers were indeed essential; beyond essential, even - this was a BAND. Now, if all we had had been The Thurston Moore Experience, I don't think it would have been forgettable at all, but certainly not SY-level.

Incidentally, let's not forget Steve the cucumber just because he arrived "late". He propelled the group into a higher megatonic dimension.
