I love the Red Ale's. And I do like special beers, even though I only buy them at the supermarket so they're not super special anymore.
A while ago I went on a company outing to a small home brewery in the city I will soon move to. It was really really nice. We had a taste of I think 6 or 8 different beers, and every one of them was very good. For the life of God I don't recall which ones I liked the best though ...
oh, and if you ever make it to Belgium. There's a bar in Brussels called the Beer Circus (it's next to the concert hall Cirque Royal). It's menu has 10 pages of various beers, and only one page of food
there are surely more bars like this especially in Belgium, but this is a nice place
