I'm hoping it's some of his artwork or this box set because I really want it, but money is tight for us at the moment. The boxset is great and it comes with an enourmous book about the Shadow Ring. At first I was skeptical with the way the music has been collected, the CDs are not replications of albums and singles, but a roughly chronological (by recording date) ordering of all their previously released music (excluding the live LP, and The Klaus Canterbury 7" I think), and some previously unreleased,bits and bobs across the approx 10 CDs,
Personally I think 3 CDs of pre-Shadow Ring material is more than is really needed, it could have been boiled down to 1 CDs worth and it would have been fine. But ultimately that's not really important. I was curious to hear how the music all sounded with a remastering but having listened now I don't have much to say about it, which is probably a good thing. I'd have to play the new versions side by side with old ones to see exactly how different they are, which I may do to at some point in the nearish future as I'm off work with a broken arm and have the rare treat of time to kill.
