A few years back, at the Toronto Murray Street show, someone gave Thurston a gift, a book to be specific. Upon recving (and thanking) he was pressed to read a passage, instead he threw the book aside and quoted: "I am not a hippy! .....But I make love to hippies, for only a punk rocker can truly make love to a hippy" I'd just always wondered what this book is...any one uber-cooler-than-I know what the book in question is?
