Also: the heated argument between Poppie and Kramer wasn't ostensibly about abortion; it was about whether a pizza is a pizza once it goes into the oven or only when it's cooked. (Which is of course a metaphor for abortion. ) The guy who was really against the right to abortion was the one Elaine was dating, and that's why they break up. Ominously, at one point he says, "You know, someday... we're going to get enough people in the Supreme Court to change that law."
