Homicide is classic 90s TV, last year I bought the complete boxset for cheap and I'm looking forward to rewatching it all. I've seen random episodes over the years but i haven't watched it all properly since it was originally broadcast. Also, the book it is based on is incredible. first time for me and almost done at the rate of 1 episode per day

i'm curious about the book. not sure if i'll ever read it. but my understanding was the tv characters were inspired by the book, and the cases the first couple of seasons came out of that. then again i havent actually read it hahaha

what i really enjoy is the prelude to the wire. i can see where david simon made his bones. for me, he had appeared out of nowhere like a comet in the sky. but as it turned out, he had a history

of all his prequels i had only seen "the corner" but that was more documentary than anything (with actors "reconstructing" real situations). not great drama, just sad business, so kinda meh in recollection. "informative" i guess
