I enjoy the cinematography in the auld VHS footage. There's a particularly nice shot of Manors car park in Newcastle looking empty, grey, and dystopian, (similar to Get Carter's multi storey car park nearby in Gateshead (or the Barbican for ye' Londoners)) typical brutalist architecture of the time. These days' the area is overcrowded and in the latter case gone.
Also enjoyed the comedic juxtaposition of the North Shields riots interspersed with footage of upper class people in London on a night out complaining the unfairness of their illegally parked cars being towed. The history lesson was simply a bonus.
