Those crazy limeys, "taking a piss" means to drink/get drunk, but to us yanks it means going pee. I heard that this saying might have originated from the siberian shaman act of giving people their pee to drink after the shaman have eaten amanita muscaria. The people could get the same hallucinogenic effects of eating amanita muscaria and none of the negative effects caused by eating it, by drinking the shamans's pee. And that is why "taking a piss" is associated with urine and intoxication.
