But you're far more interesting, in my opinion.
I'm a shoegazing fan, My Bloody Valentine is my second favorite band (first is Sonic Youth, of course). You should listen to Slowdive, they're really amazing, my favorite shoegaze band except MBV ; their Souvlaki album is absolutely fantastic. Chapterhouse are really good too, Ride or Boo Radleys also.
