I don't really want to take out anyone already here, I just wish folks would embrace the Zero Population Growth idea....
If we as a species just started reproducing ourselves....1 to 1....2 per couple and THAT'S IT....then it'll STILL take over 50 years to have our world population start to level off.
If you look at our growth....the line was fairly level up to about 200 hundred years ago....then with medical advances and 'creature comforts'...the 'level horizontal' line has become so steep as to be vertical. We are out of control. Even the countries who's population growth rate is less than 2...aren't keeping the rest of the world from overexploitation of reproduction.
...and it reallys gets my gaul...but when people say...'There's nothing we can do about it'....BULLSHIT !! We can't stop tornados, hurricanes, many natural disasters...but WE CAN stiffle our ridiculous over-reproduction....!!!!
Dont even get me started about the Mormons !!!
