Most directors's cuts are better then the original but this was just lame. Granted people who discovered the original film found it confusing and probobly had to give it a second viewing or watch it on director's commentary, but it was much more open-ended. Anyone who saw the movie a couple times and/or watched the commentary can deduce what the film is about, but if you are that viewer, and then saw the director's cut you probobly felt that it was telling you what the film was about, rather then letting you bring your own ideas into it. Its actually what I said in the Lynch thread, the original "DD" allows you to put your own interperations into it, but the director's cut pretty much tells you what the film is about, and its becomes a lot less mysterious and open-ended. I didn't like that.
