Common sense should tell you that you have no right to take something, or someone elses life in your own hands and test on it without consent.
Putting shampoo and other forms of cosmetics or whatever you want to call it in the eye of a rabbit to see if it's an imbarable pain or not and to see its reaction and affect, is definitely not an advancement in mankind. It's unecessary and it is wrong. It's not just rats that are being tested on, it's also rabbits, monkeys and all sorts of animals.
Many people I know, including my partner and I use cosmetics and creams etc that are not tested on animals. What's your excuse in using them if it's proven that it is not necessary?
