I have absolutely no idea who did the original. Could've been any number of people. I'd up the Dubliners version, which is ace, but I don't have any means of transferring vinyl to digital. There was a gorgeous acapella version that Peel played when we went into Afghanistan, but I can't for the life of me remember who by, which is a shame, as it were ace.
