it's all in levels, in a way, it does cover an area that i don't always get fulfilled in real life (of talking to people who listen to sonic youth and other bands people i know don't know about), and it's nice to laugh at other kinds of idiots that the ones you usually encounter. but it's not a complete interaction, it's just a part of it, like talking on the phone to a friend you can't arrange to meet anytime soon.
have you felt a difference in appreciation for other arts ever since starting to listen to this particular branch of music?
