i just think there isn't as full a sound on some of the songs as there could have been, i think the mids are fine but the low-end seems lacking on songs that have a booming sound like end of you, don't talk like, or how one song for you is kinda missing a little in the high-end , it's a little to lo-fi for how big their sound was becoming at that point (jet set is an album that is also a little to lo-fi after coming off of dirty which was pretty lush, but thats another discussion)

perhaps yeah the woods over does the low-end by a bit but it was the fullest recording they ever did and i think the hot rock is missing a little from that, call the doctor and dig me out work for the song style of the time
