im introverted but not shy. i was very shy as a kid though-- however there is nothing good about a "shy man". jeezus. you have to be able to speak up, speak out, articulate, fight, cold-call people, interrupt, approach a stranger-- it's a survival thing.

what i mean by introvered is that my brain is more entertained by reading, writing, movies, and attentive music listening than it is by sensory overload, noisy environments, and crowds. it's a preference of my nervous system. and that's why i like talking here with you bastards, because i don't have to process the sensory overload of your faces, smells, clothing, etc. and that's why at parties i require booze (which dulls my overactive perception) so that i can freely extrovert.
