The first release will be The Spectral Presence EP- Is This a Test?
I have a rough version of the title track up on my myspace.
I've got the bass and drums down on the first 3 songs, doing guitar tomorrow, and perhaps vocals.
I'm recording the guitar and drum machine parts all down in my basement which has all stone walls and has a great feel for both of those. Doing bass DI, and doing the vocals in my attic which has a big arch ceiling and really great acoustics.

I did all of the above (well I taught myself to play the drums instead of using a drum machine, as they have no soul). It is beyond rewarding, to put out your own music, and sit back and listen to the tape. Its like seeing and aspect of yourself from the outside, the way other people see you, or in this case, hear you.
though my advice, it is much easier to DIY distribute on the internet then to pass out discs. You are more likely to get a positive response and actual listening ears, because the nature of the internet is voluntary, more people who come to your website will actually listen, then will people who you randomly distribute CD-Rs to on the street. This is from experience....
