RFK falls into the category of stadiums that are multi-purpose, circular nightmares from the 70s (just like Three Rivers in Pittsburgh, The Vet in Philly, or Busch Stadium in St. Louis; thankfully these have been demolished already). On top of the fact its UGLY! Its like a relic!
Of course its always had a great soccer atmosphere, especially for DC United, and some US National team games. USA vs Honduras in 2001 and 2005 are two of the most exciting games, EVER, both in RFK. One of them had an attendance record, I think. But with the Nationals playing baseball in RFK now, its made it smaller, and even more ugly.
