i found america very strange but appealing. there are certain places that i woud never like to go and some that i really want to see again. LA was somewhere that i did not think i would like but was actually quite nice and somewhere i could go back to easily. where as chicago was one of the most boring places i have ever been.

being there really opened my eyes to a lot of things and destroyed a lot of illusions and preconceptions i had about the place. i was amazed at the way the homeless and mentaly where treated and the fact that there are so many of them. at least in england and germany there are some kind of organisations in place to take of them but in america it seemed there were none. the rich where very rich and the poor where very poor it seemed and the place felt as if it was on the verge of collapse somehow.
