MR SHOW is my favorite sketch show ever.
That being said, I'm not sure how I feel about David himself, particularly after watching LET AMERICA LAUGH. He's funny, sure, but also, it seems, a total asshole.
I've notice during his stand-up stuff: he doesn't really tell jokes. He basically says the opposite of what he means, and uses the irony to get laughs (which it usually does). ("I do support our white troops." "One good thing about the war: ten thousand less Iraqis," etc. This is from the first few minutes of just ONE bit.) It becomes a tad predictable after awhile.
Yet....MR SHOW was amazing. He was brilliant in ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT. A lot of his stand-up bits are smart and witty.
I'm on the fence, I guess.
