Exactly, I love my cat and he doesn't do it anymore because he's older. We would let him out whenever he meowed, just we'd bring him in after a short while so he wouldn't leave the backyard to eat birds. My other cat was just a kitten and was declawed (my parents stupidly valued the furniture more) so they wouldn't allow him outside at all because he couldn't defend himself. He lived inside until he died of kidney stones. I was really dissapointed, I'd never do that to a cat.
