Are these festivals enjoyable? How in the world do you actually get to see and hear the bands you like? Of all the above bands I would be willing to pay money to see Sonic Youth, Interpol, Jr. Gong (Damien Marley), Blonde Redhead, !!!, Cornelius, (Happy Mondays? are they back together?), the roots, explosions in the sky, and tapes & tapes.
That is ten bands over three days. It is just not worth it to me, since I have already seen most of the aforementioned ten bands before in more intimate settings (I have never seen blonde redhead, !!!, or Interpol.)
