Are these festivals enjoyable? How in the world do you actually get to see and hear the bands you like? It would jsut drive me insane unles si was hopped up on mad drugs. if I was on acid or something I would forget to go see my favorite bands thereby spending hundreds of dollars to "trip out" with a bunch of people who want to hear the entirety of Stadium Arcadium.


Of all the above bands I would be willing to pay money to see Sonic Youth, Interpol, Jr. Gong (Damien Marley), Blonde Redhead, !!!, Cornelius, (Happy Mondays? are they back together?), the roots, explosions in the sky, and tapes & tapes.

That is ten bands over three days. It is just not worth it to me, since I have already seen most of the aforementioned ten bands before in more intimate settings (I have never seen blonde redhead, !!!, or Interpol.)
