There was a punk doc on VH1 like, dick years ago (i was in middle school)--- and they had a brief skip of the 80's that included a bit of dead kennedys, which got mentioned because they focused on the problem with 870's punk-- neo nazis. And they maybe said something bout black flag. THen nirvana and the green day. Also, There's apparently one (and only one) reason green day got big-- NIRVANA! Becasue no in the mainstream ever said the word 'punk' til they came aroundd... not even the days of ramones and sex pistols-- it was still underground then.
