And now for the plot:
Follows the life of an ordinary 15 year old boy and his run for school president, in a boring high school with friends who are experiencing everything in life. The boy longs to live as exciting lives as they do, and is introduced to drugs and sex (during a rather awkward scene with a teacher). He is confronted by the other candidate who is running for school president, and is involved in a fight with him, and threatened not to run for the presidency, and a bounty is put on his head, with the Russian Mafia trying to claim the money for themselves. After a few failed attempts at this (which fail to catch the attention of the protagonist), the main character becomes depressed that he will never become class president, and hence win the love of afformentioned teacher, and contemplates his whole life, and almost considers ending it all using a home fan forced oven. He then procedes to kill himself, while listening to Husker Du (His favourite band), but then he then contemplates his life again, to the same tune backwards, realising that there is a secret message saying that he is meant to live and banish the world of the other candidate. Filled with confidence, the film climaxes at the nomination speeches, in which a riot breaks out. The Main character decides that cheating is the answer to winning, after playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and getting stuck on the Zero missions, and riggs the elections. He wins in a landslide (and questionable) 100% vote and becomes the school president, only to be killed by a deadly case of SARS (remember that?)
