well thats the thing, all the homo-eroticism involved is all washed away with competition of sports, bashing into each other, or beating the crap outta each other, same goes for hockey and football

it's hard to come out in the sporting world, i mean not even all of Hollywood is completely out, even there some feel too closeted and ashamed to admit their sexual preferences

and that male audience is the part that prevents people from coming out, those are the type that will turn over cars in celebration when you win a world title, and in the same breath will call a formerly fav athlete a 'fag' and thinks he's a freak when he blows a super bowl

although, on the other hand, i know for a fact that when you are a star athlete and are producing success, locker room prejudices will fall by the wayside, and has it has happened many times before
